Motivational Monday – Go Out And Do Good
What does it mean?
A good job?
A big house?
A fancy car in your driveway?
Or is is measured by the smiles you’ve brought to those around you?
The hearts you’ve touched?
The lives you have forever changed?
So much emphasis today is placed and what we achieve and what we acquire.
As you begin your journey through college, your journey into adulthood, there is tremendous pressure for you to do well. To get good grades, distinguish yourself in some way or another, academically, in sports, music, art… In everything you do you aim to be the best.
And so you should.
But even more importantly think about who you want to be.
Focus on your character.
Think about the legacy you want to leave behind.
How will you want to be remembered?
I invite you to really ponder that last question.
Pull out your journal and write out a few sentences. a list of words you want people to use when they describe you. When you list out your accomplishment, think about real impact… Lasting impact…
The type of impact that is not measured in dollars and tangible goods, but in smiles and hugs and leaves an imprint on your heart and everyone you’ve touched that lasts a life time.
